He built the first step, a metal frame out of galvanized steel. Last weekend we took the bed off, and yesterday when I came home I saw that the frame was now attached to the truck. Next step make a bummer and lay the floor. Then we’ll erect the iron for the corners and start building boxes. I think he’s really enjoying this project, thank god because it is a step by step and is taking a lot of time and work. Of course he’s going a little crazy and since the truck is a 2500, gets great gas mileage and can haul anything……well he’s all about making it structurely sound! Looks like all his machinist skills are coming in handy!

For those of you unfamiliar with a “dog truck” well this is going to be a beast. It will haul 16 dogs, training gear and will be LARGE once its done. But its a long process!

For the mushers, the good thing about this truck is that it wont blink at the weight of anything we could possibly put in it. So the usual, keep the weight down for better gas mileage. Well it wont much matter to this truck so were gonna build it hardy, sound and the metal is to keep things from rotting, bending. Thank you for all your input! Pictures coming soon!

Dear Friends, Family and Business owners:

Outlaw Ridge is a kennel like no other. We are a mid-distance team that competes in races from NH to Canada ranging in mileage from 100- 200. Our goals and philosophy are unique, our morals and ethics strong, and our focus and determination are fierce. We would like to invite you to be part of this amazing team and help us in our journey.

In 1996, I began adopting the “unadoptable” and formed a sprint team. As our goals and focus changed our philosophy and beliefs did not. We do not kennel, separate, or tethers dogs. Nor will I produce puppies to financially compensate our life style . We do not re-home retired or Injured adults. Our dogs are not only amazing athletes they are valuable family members.
While running is our pulse we see the importance in educating the public. The team and I enjoy this responsibility and present educational programs in RI and CT.
Sponsorship is for a full season, from August to August. Sponsorship monies will ONLY be used for racing and training expenses ( checks can be written to: Becki Tucker). Sponsors are invited to come visit at any time.

Corporate Sponsorship:
Businesses donating $250+ will get your company name on the dogtruck for the season as well as an advertisement
and link on our website, and a autographed team photo. ( Monies can also be in trade for services or merchandise)

Sponsor a Dog:
